Middle East
Pretani Associates have travelled widely in this region and studied the ancient peoples there.

The Canaanites were a collection of ancient people who inhabited the Near East, a region roughly corresponding to the modern Middle East. The Canaanite name occurs commonly in the Bible and some of the different groups were – Arameans. Moabites, Ammonites, Midanites and Edomites

The Phoenicians lived on the western coastal part of the Fertile Crescent and centred on the coastline of what is now known as Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Palestine and Syria. They were a strong sea-based civilisation and they would become the first society to make extensive use of alphabets. Indeed the Phoenician alphabet is considered to be one of the major ancestors of all modern alphabets. Between 600 and 500 BC  “Periplous” of Himilco, the Carthaginian, a Phoenician people, made the earliest documentary reference to Ireland.

The Hurrians were the ancient people of modern Anatolia, which is now known as modern Turkey. The earliest known music is credited to the Hurrians.

The Medes lived in an area known as Media, which is now North Western Iran. Like the Pretani whose name would change to British, the Medes name would change to Kurd.
