The Pretani Education Programme – Ranafast

Pretani Associates are in Ranafast in Donegal, where the West Ulster Gaelic (Gaeilic or Gaedhlig) is still spoken as an everyday language. Dr Adamson presented his new book on Bran, Son of Febal to his friends there. Ranafast was the home of the writers Seosamh O Grianna and his brother Seamus, who joined the Language Freedom Movement to protect Ulster Gaelic from State-sponsored Gaeilge. Pretani Associates were delighted to hear a Lay sung in the original and pure Ulster style.
