The Battle of Guillemont was an\u00a0attack by the Fourth Army on the village of Guillemont and its capture\u00a0was the culmination of British attacks which began on 22\/23 July. Dr Ian\u00a0Adamson OBE, Vice President of the Somme Association met his friend\u00a0Didier Samain, Mayor of Guillemont along with Karen Bradley, Secretary of\u00a0State for Northern Ireland.
