They were and are a seafaring people trading with the people of Papua New Guinea.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Papuan<\/strong> people are the ancient people of New Guinea and neighbouring islands. Some of their tribal names are Abelam, Baruya, Chambri and Fore.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>M\u0101ori<\/strong> arrived in New Zealand by canoe from eastern Polynesia 800 years ago, following the whales. The early M\u0101ori formed tribal groups based on eastern Polynesian customs and organisation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aboriginal Australians<\/strong> are one of the oldest living populations in the world and possibly the oldest outside Africa.
