As founding Chairman and present Vice Chairman of the Somme Association, Dr Ian Adamson met old friends and trusted colleagues. Pretani Associates presented copies of his book, A Journey to the Immortal Isles, and the Common Identity booklet to Didier Samain, Mayor of Guillemont, Andrew MacKinlay, Baron Paul Murphy, former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, who had funded the Somme Association in the purchase of Thiepval Wood and Karen Bradley, MP, our present Secretary of State, who officiated at today’s ceremonies.
